About Us:

Sol Cacao is a family business founded by the Maloney brothers, born in Trinidad & Tobago and raised in New York City. Our journey is inspired by stories of our great grandparents, who grew cacao in Trinidad a legacy we came to understand and appreciate generations later. What began as curiosity became a deeper pursuit: to reconnect with our roots and explore everything about the cacao bean, from its origin to its transformation into chocolate.

Today, we are proud to be the first bean to bar chocolate factory in the Bronx, contributing to the borough’s history through craftsmanship and culture. We specialize in making chocolate using only three ingredients: cacao, cane sugar, and cocoa butter creating a product that is minimally processed and true to its natural form. By bridging Trinidad & Tobago and New York, our work honors heritage while building something meaningful for the future. Every bar we make reflects legacy, simplicity, and intention.

Mission: To create specialty chocolate manufacturing jobs in the Bronx while supporting cacao farmers and promoting sustainability.
